Important Shipping Update

 

TEMPORARY SHIPPING PROCEDURE

 

November 15, 2024

 

Canada Post (CP), our primary shipping service, has announced that as of Friday, November 15, 2024, they will be experiencing slowdowns and interruptions due to rotating strike activity and until agreements are made between the employer and the union (CUPW).

This being said, it remains our #1 priority to get your orders shipped to your door safely, securely and on-time, regardless of the situation with CP.

 

We estimate that around 1/3 of our customers are impacted by this service disruption, therefore we will be handling the shipping disruption on a case-per-case basis.

 

Here are some examples for the majority of our customers:

 

US Buyers: We will favor using UPS or USPS via Chit-Chats, both options are not impacted by the shipping disruptions.

 

CANADA Buyers: We will favor using UPS whenever possible, I.E. locations which are serviced by UPS, as well we will favor using local couriers via Chit-Chats (GTA-GSM, Intelcom, etc)

 

For our buyers which may be impacted by the service disruption, here are your options, we will be reaching out to you on a case-per-case basis if you are impacted by or before shipping day:

 

CANADA Buyers:

 

For buyers which are located in areas of the country which are serviced ONLY by CP, here are your options:

 

  1. Agree for us, Collect540, to hold your orders up until CP and CUPW come to an agreement and resume normal service.

  2. Agree for us, Collect540, to ship your order out on our regular shipping day via CP, either with tracking or via letter-mail, leaving the package with Canada Post until they resume delivery.

 

For buyers which are located in areas of the country which are serviced by multiple carriers, but are normally serviced by CP:

 

  1. Agree for us, Collect540, to hold your orders and ship them out once a certain threshold is attained (order value, amount of cards, valuable cards) via UPS or Chit-Chats (following shipping day for example).

  2. Agree for us, Collect540, to hold your orders up until CP and CUPW come to an agreement and resume normal service.

  3. Agree for us, Collect540, to ship your order out on our regular shipping day via CP, either with tracking or via letter-mail, leaving the package with Canada Post until they resume delivery.

 

US BUYERS:

 

As mentioned beforehand, the impact on US buyers is minimal. In the rare case that the order size (amount of cards, value) is below our shipping threshold for shipping day, here are your options:

 

  1. Agree for us, Collect540, to hold your orders and ship them out once a certain threshold is attained (order value, amount of cards, valuable cards) via UPS or Chit-Chats (USPS) (following shipping day for example).

  2. Agree for us, Collect540, to ship your order out on our regular shipping day via CP, either with tracking or via letter-mail, leaving the package with Canada Post until they resume delivery.

 

We will be paying close attention to any and every development from CP and make adjustments as required. We will always strive to have your orders shipped securely and promptly on every shipping day, continuing to combine orders from our weekly live shows and eBay listings.
